We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration between the Deaf Darts Organisation (DDO) and Signly — a partnership that will bring even greater accessibility to our community.

What’s Happening?

Signly will be providing British Sign Language (BSL) translations for the Deaf Darts website. This means more members of our community will be able to access important information, news, and resources in their first language — ensuring everyone feels included and informed.

Who Are Signly?

Signly is an award-winning accessibility service that helps organisations make their digital content more inclusive for Deaf people who use sign language.

Their technology allows website visitors to view sign language videos alongside the original text — either automatically on the page or on demand. For many Deaf people, BSL is their first language, so this approach removes barriers and makes the information instantly more accessible and easier to understand.

Signly works with a range of organisations, from transport companies and banks to charities and cultural institutions, helping them meet accessibility standards and, most importantly, connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.

Why This Matters for DDO

At DDO, we believe darts should be a sport for everyone, without barriers. By working with Signly, we’re taking a big step toward breaking down communication obstacles and making our website truly accessible to all Deaf players, supporters, and fans.

This means our event details, news updates, and community announcements will be easier to follow for those who prefer BSL over written English — creating a more inclusive and welcoming experience for all.

Looking Ahead

We’ll be sharing updates and blog posts as the translation work progresses, so keep an eye on our social media channels and website. We can’t wait to see the difference this collaboration will make for our community.

Together, DDO and Signly are ensuring that Deaf darts players and fans never miss out on the action.
