We are thrilled to share a moment of pride and gratitude: the Deaf Darts Organisation (DDO) has officially reached 600 followers! This milestone isn’t just a number—it’s a celebration of a community united by passion, inclusion, and the love of darts.

A Dream That Started with Seven

DDO’s journey began with 7 men who shared a dream: to create the leading darts organisation for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. From humble beginnings, their vision was to unite, inspire, and empower players globally. Today, that dream has grown into a thriving international community where every player has a place to play, compete, and thrive.

Our Mission Drives Us

At DDO, our mission is clear:

“To unite, inspire, and empower the global deaf community through inclusive and competitive darts. DDO is committed to growing talent and building a connected international network where every deaf player has a place to play, compete, and thrive.”

This mission guides every tournament we host, every livestream we produce, and every initiative we roll out—making darts truly accessible to all.

A Leading Force in Deaf Darts

Since our establishment in 2024, DDO has rapidly emerged as a major force in the global deaf darts community. What started as a small vision has now become an organisation that sets the standard for inclusive and competitive darts.

We’ve hosted high-profile tournaments like the Grand Slam of Darts and the UK Open Championship, attracting top deaf talent from across the world. These events not only showcase skill but also provide a platform for players to gain recognition and grow in the sport.

To further support competitive play, DDO introduced a national ranking system, enabling players to track progress, earn rankings, and qualify for international competitions. This system has helped formalise deaf darts as a competitive sport.

Innovation is at the heart of DDO. We were among the first to implement real-time visual scoring, ensuring that matches are accessible to all players, spectators, and online audiences. Additionally, our British Sign Language (BSL)-interpreted livestreams make every game inclusive for deaf viewers, removing barriers and allowing fans to engage fully with the sport.

Beyond tournaments, rankings, and tech, DDO is about community and connection. We create opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration, helping players not just compete, but thrive in a supportive global network.

Why DDO is the Leading Force in Deaf Darts

  1. Pioneering Tournaments – Hosting the most prestigious deaf darts competitions.

  2. National Ranking System – Motivating players and formalising competitive play.

  3. Accessibility & Inclusion – Real-time scoring and BSL livestreams remove barriers for all players and fans.

  4. Community Building – Connecting deaf players globally to learn, grow, and compete together.

  5. Innovation & Vision – Setting new standards for technology and tournament management in deaf darts.

  6. Global Recognition – The most followed and influential deaf darts organisation on social media.

In short: DDO combines competitive excellence, accessibility, innovation, and community leadership, positioning it as the central hub and driving force in the world of deaf darts.

Thank You

This milestone is a reminder: DDO is nothing without YOU. Every like, comment, and share strengthens our mission and our community. We are grateful to every player, fan, and supporter who has made DDO what it is today.

Here’s to many more milestones, more competitions, and more opportunities to grow the global deaf darts family. Together, we are stronger, better, and unstoppable.

Let’s keep aiming high!
