The UK Open Deaf Dart Championship is BACK: bigger, bolder and more exciting than ever.
In March 2027, the Deaf Darts Organisation will head north as DDO takes over Ellesmere Port to deliver what we are aiming to make our biggest UK Open competition yet.
With places available for an incredible 128 men and 64 ladies, the stage is being set for two unforgettable days of Deaf darts, competition, friendship and history.
From Bradmoor Farm to Ellesmere Port
Our recent UK Open Championship at Bradmoor Farm was something truly special.
The atmosphere throughout the competition was magical, but one moment in particular changed the future of DDO.
For the first time, the semi-finals and finals were broadcast live from our Championship Stage on the DDO YouTube channel, allowing followers from across the UK and around the world to watch the action as it happened.
It was a landmark moment.
DDO became the first Deaf darts organisation in the world to broadcast its championship finals live to an international audience.
That achievement will always have a place in our history — but we are only getting started.
At Ellesmere Port in 2027, the cameras will be back.
Once again, the semi-finals and finals will be streamed live from the Championship Stage, giving players the opportunity to compete under the lights while Deaf darts fans around the world watch the battle for the UK Open crown.
The Ellesmere Port Format
For 2027, we want the UK Open to feel like a complete weekend of darts rather than simply one long competition day.
Friday 12th March – Heat 1
The championship begins at 6:00pm on Friday evening with Heat 1 for both the Men's and Ladies' divisions.
Once Heat 1 has been completed, the darts will stop for the evening.
That gives everyone the chance to relax, catch up with friends, meet other players and enjoy the social side of the Deaf darts community at Ellesmere Port.
Then we come back ready for a huge Saturday.
Saturday 13th March – The Main Event
Saturday will be an all-day celebration of competitive Deaf darts.
The day will begin with:
Heat 2
Heat 3
Heat 4
Players will battle throughout the heats to collect as many points as possible.
Once all four heats have been completed, the league standings will determine who moves forward.
The top 32 players on points will progress to the knockout stage, where every leg becomes even more important.
From there, it is simple:
Win and move closer to the title.
Lose and your UK Open journey is over.
Eventually, only the very best will remain to fight for the ultimate UK Open Deaf Dart Championship crown.
Then the Championship Stage Comes Alive
At approximately 6:00pm on Saturday evening, DDO will begin preparing the live-streaming equipment and transforming the Championship Stage for the biggest matches of the weekend.
The semi-finalists will step onto the stage.
The cameras will go live.
And supporters from around the world will once again be able to experience the conclusion of the UK Open through the DDO YouTube channel.
After what we achieved at Bradmoor Farm, we know just how powerful it is to give Deaf players that professional stage experience and to make our sport accessible to supporters wherever they are in the world.
In Ellesmere Port, we want to take that experience to another level.
A New Home for an Incredible Weekend
DDO is delighted to be collaborating with Ellesmere Port - Chaukees for the 2027 UK Open.
The venue is fantastic and gives us the opportunity to continue growing the championship while creating an environment worthy of one of the biggest competitions on the Deaf darts calendar.
We would particularly like to thank Tony Martin, who contacted DDO and opened discussions about bringing the UK Open Deaf Dart Championship to Ellesmere Port.
Those conversations quickly showed us the potential of the venue and what we could create together.
We cannot wait to welcome the Deaf darts community through the doors in March.
